FoH engineer Jordan Waller, a 31-year-old self-taught producer, musician, and live sound tech from British Columbia, has chosen the Allen & Heath dLive C1500 console as the central piece of his touring setup. This ultra-compact and ultra-powerful console is ideal for midsize touring and live sound applications, particularly in the bustling Canadian country music scene.

Waller appreciates the precision control over every input offered by the console, which he finds invaluable in his professional mixing work.

Key features that Waller emphasises include the console's balance of size and capability, making it ideal for touring and live sound applications where space and power are critical. The RackUltra FX Saturator and built-in pitch correction are also incomparable, as is the Peak Limiter 76 compressor emulation found in the built-in FX.

Waller's relationship with the dLive C1500 began when he saved Josh Ross's headlining set during the Calgary Stampede in 2024. Since then, Ross and his crew have been using the console, and it is currently being used by Waller for his touring setup with various Canadian country artists.

Artists such as Jess Moskaluke, Powfu, Reklaws, Johnny Orlando, and Dallas Smith have all benefited from Waller's mixing skills and his choice of the dLive C1500. Waller broke into national touring in 2021 with Tyler Joe Miller, and since then, he has become a go-to guy for many of Canada's country artists.

The popularity of country music is currently on the rise across Canada, and Waller's choice of the dLive C1500 for his touring setup is a testament to the console's versatility and ability to meet the demands of the fast-paced and ever-changing world of live sound mixing in the country music industry. The dLive C1500 is small enough to fit into any festival or opener slot without sacrificing quality, making it an ideal choice for touring engineers and live sound technicians in Canada's burgeoning country music scene.

The dLive C1500 console's powerful performance handles the complex demands of live sound mixing, especially in the live environment.
