PM Modi expressed his condolences to the family, acknowledging the sorrow, agony, and inner rage that Shubham's daughter, Aishnya Dwivedi, and all of India felt in response to thisbarbaric act. He likened the collective anger to Operation Sindoor, a military operation launched by India to deter terrorism and demonstrate resolve.
Operation Sindoor, an Indian military operation carried out on May 7, 2025, targeted terrorist sites across Pakistani-administered Azad Kashmir and Punjab. The operation aimed to degrade terrorist infrastructure and demonstrate military capability without escalating tensions significantly. The operation employed precision long-range Excalibur rounds and loitering munitions, as well as strikes from India's Air Force in Punjab.
