Enemies from Helldivers 2's Rupture Strain, initially problematic due to balance concerns, allegedly face a weeks-long maintenance period, leading to their temporary removal, leaving some players disappointed at their absence.
In a recent announcement made on the official Helldivers Discord server, Arrowhead Game Studios, the developers behind the popular third-person shooter game, Helldivers 2, have revealed that the Rupture Strain enemy unit has been temporarily taken offline for improvements.
The Rupture Strain, known for its burrowing abilities and challenging moves, has been causing frustration among players due to its seemingly impossible-to-dodge attacks. A recent patch made the Rupture Warrior's attack nigh-unavoidable for everyone on the team, leading to numerous complaints from the gaming community.
However, there is some good news for those seeking a challenge. The group responsible for revising the Rupture Strain unit is currently working on adjustments, with the process expected to take Arrowhead five weeks. In the meantime, the Stalker-filled Predator Strain remains as the main challenge in the game.
The Rupture Strain's absence from the Galactic War is expected to last over a month. This news has been met with a mix of relief and curiosity from the gaming community. One player stated, "This has never happened before. We officially had an enemy so obnoxiously awful that AHS straight up removed them from the game, at least a little while."
In addition to the Rupture Strain changes, Arrowhead Game Studios also released the "Into the Unjust" update earlier this month. This update introduced new types of bugs in Helldivers 2, including colossal Hive Lord worm bosses, huge winged Dragonroaches, and the Rupture Strain sub-faction.
