Affirming faith in undying affection remains - Endures her faith in profound affection

In a heartfelt conversation with AARP's Movies for Grownups while promoting her new series 'The Girlfriend' on Prime Video, actress Robin Wright opened up about love, relationships, and her current partner, British-Australian architect Henry Smith.

Wright, aged 59, remains an optimistic romantic despite three failed marriages. She described her current partner as a 'treasure' and simply a 'good, decent adult'. The actress met Smith about a year ago in a pub, and since then, he has become the man of her life.

The actress, who was previously married to the late actor Dane Witherspoon from 1986 to 1988, also had a relationship with French fashion manager Clément Giraudet from 2018 to 2022. Her most notable relationship, however, was with Sean Penn, whom she married in 1996 and divorced in 2010. They have two children together: Dylan Frances Penn (34) and Hopper Jack Penn (32).

Wright shared that she no longer wants to worry or doubt in romantic relationships. She expressed her desire for a future together, stating, 'I want to grow old with someone, travel, and see the world.'

The actress compared the evolution of her feelings in relationships to growing out of an old pair of pants. She believes that one can recover from stormy relationships and still have hope for love.

In an interview with the 'Sunday Times', Wright spoke highly of her current partner Henry Smith. She described him as someone who has brought peace and joy into her life. The couple shared a COVID-19 infection shortly after their first meeting, a shared experience that has only strengthened their bond.

Wright and Smith have been spending time in England, where Smith is based. The actress has expressed her admiration for Smith's profession, stating, 'He's an architect, and I'm in awe of what he does.'

The actress is currently promoting her new Prime Video series 'The Girlfriend', a role that allows her to explore the complexities of relationships once again. Despite the challenges that come with love, Wright remains an optimistic romantic, ready to face whatever the future holds.
