Dreiviertelblut, a local band from Sulzbach-Rosenberg, has released their fifth studio album, "Prost Ewigkeit," on May 16, 2025. This album serves as both the title of their live program and a musical support system in these unsettling times.
The new album resonates with turbulent emotions, focusing on themes such as love and pain. Dreiviertelblut's signature blend of atmospheric, transparent arrangements featuring guitars, brass, accordion, drums, and multi-part vocals continues to shine on this release. Their compositions bridge life and death with a touch of "phantastischer Realismus," creating a powerful call to celebrate life boldly and passionately with all its facets.
The band's ritualistic approach to their concerts underscores community and unity among the seven musicians. The album follows some socially critical narratives from their previous work, intertwining reflections on life, society, and existential questions. The themes covered in the new songs include the eternal search, love, pain, happiness, loss, wisdom, and foolishness.
Dreiviertelblut has been actively touring with the album throughout 2025 and into 2026, including a presentation in Berlin on December 6, 2025. The band will be presenting their new album live at Capitol Bild & Bühne on Saturday, October 25, at 8 PM.
