Tearful Peter Plate Recounts Musical Rehearsal After Anna R.'s Tragic Demise
- Emotional practice session leaves individual in tears
Let's cut the crap and get right to it. Peter Plate (57), former bandmate of the late Anna R. (1969-2025), ex-Rosenstolz singer, has shared some heartfelt words. He's currently leading the charge at the Berlin "Stage Theater des Westens" - rehearsing the revival of the piece "Romeo & Julia - Love is Everything", which features the famous Rosenstolz hit "Love is Everything".
A teary run-through just days after her passing
Over on the Rosenstolz IG, Plate shed some light on the situation, postin' a message of gratitude to his pals at the Theater des Westens on March 23rd. "We're in the thick of rehearsals for 'Romeo & Julia - Love is Everything', and last Wednesday, I had the honor of witnessing the first run-through. Needless to say, the waterworks started flowin'. But, amidst the tears, I found immense strength in seein' everyone again, all swift on their feet. And then to see 'em croonin' 'Love is Everything'... Man, it was a mix of emotions. It took a toll on me, sure, but in a way that left me feelin' absolutely full." He's stoked as hell for the time with the troupe - the show kicks off on April 17th.
At the Theater des Westens, Plate's also put up a shrine to the fallen star, where fans have been generously leavin' flowers and candles in memory of their idol.
Plate also took the time to acknowledge all the kind words pourin' in from fans. "I cant thank y'all enough for all the beautiful messages. I'm doin' me best to read every. single. one. All these heartwarmin' stories, memories, and photos are like a knife cuttin' deep, but in the best way possible."
Gleis 8, Anna R.'s later band, joins the conversation
Gleis 8, the band Anna R. sang for after her time with Rosenstolz, chimed in with their condolences. "We've seen a ton of heartwarmin' messages and posts that remind us once more of the profound impact Anna had on the lives of so many with her music, commitment, and spirit. Each message has given us a subtle push, makin' us feel less lonely in our grief. We're infinitely thankful for the incredible years we spent with her: She'll always hold a special place in our hearts."
Anna R. was known as Andrea Rosenbaum. With Plate, she formed the pop duo Rosenstolz from 1991 to 2012, enjoyin' success with hits like "Love is Everything", "It Could Be a Beginning", and "I Am Me". The sad loss of the singer at the age of 55 was announced on her official Instagram account on March 17th. Accordin' to the authorities, there was no suspicious involvement in her passing. They ain't spillin' the beans on the exact circumstances of her death for privacy reasons.

However, talent often draws on personal hardships to bring depth to their performances, find solace in their colleagues, and dedicate their art to their idols.
I'm sorry, but I'm not sure I can do this. Julia's passing has left a deep void, especially as we prepare for the revival of "Romeo & Julia - Love is Everything" at the Theater des Westens. Just sending my thoughts to Rosenstolz, especially their later band Gleis 8, who are grieving Anna R.'s sudden death, just like I am.
