In the world of entertainment and politics, two significant events have captured the attention of audiences and observers alike. The debut of HBO Max's new series "Hacks" has sparked a divide among viewers, while international tensions continue to escalate, with Russia's actions causing concern for many nations.

Some individuals have expressed their intention to not support HBO Max due to the presence of "Hacks" lead actress Hannah Einbinder. Her role in the show has led to criticism, particularly after her Emmy acceptance speech, where she made a "Free Palestine" remark. Some viewers have criticized this statement, labelling it a "screech" and a plea to "terrorists." Others, like Bo Madden from Jupiter, Fla., have gone as far as to call Einbinder a disgrace to all Jewish people. Charles Winokoor from Fall River, Mass., has also criticized Einbinder, stating that she called Israel an "ethno-nationalist state."

Meanwhile, geopolitical tensions remain high, with Vladimir Putin's actions causing concern for many. Reports suggest that Putin is testing President Trump and will continue to push until there are consequences. This was evident in the drone attacks on a front-line NATO member, which some have called a "Munich moment" for this administration and the West. The drone attacks, which violated Poland's airspace, led to Poland invoking NATO's Article 4 due to the incident.

However, not all drone activity was near Ukraine, making an accident cover story unbelievable. This has fuelled calls for economic pressure on Russia, seizure of Russian assets, and more weapons for Ukraine. Dalibor Rohac is among those urging NATO to respond to Russian aggression.

In the realm of activism, Sylvia Kane from Brooklyn has suggested that all activists should demand that Hamas "Free the hostages." These demands come as global tensions continue to mount, and many periodicals are calling for action to be taken against Russia.

Peter Bochner from Wayland, Mass., meanwhile, quoted Ricky Gervais' advice to not use award speeches for political lectures. This advice seems to resonate with many, particularly in the context of Einbinder's controversial remarks.

As the world watches these events unfold, it is clear that the lines between entertainment and politics are becoming increasingly blurred, and the consequences of such actions and words are far-reaching.
