Saarlouis Royals Sign German National Team Player Emma Eichmeyer
The Saarlouis Royals, reigning German Cup winners, have announced that Emma Eichmeyer will join their team starting from the 2024/25 season. The news comes after a successful career for Eichmeyer, which includes stints in England with the Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters and Sweden with Sodertalje BBK.
Eichmeyer has been a long-time target player for head coach Matiss Rozlapa of the Saarlouis Royals. Her move to the team is not her first time playing for a reigning German Cup winner, having previously achieved this feat in Osnabrück at the start of her career.
During her time with the Westfield Health Sheffield Hatters, Eichmeyer averaged an impressive 13.6 points, 8.4 rebounds, and 3.2 assists. In the following season, she played in Sweden for Sodertalje BBK, where her statistics stood at 14.3 points, 5.4 rebounds, and 4.0 assists.
The Saarlouis Royals are thrilled about the addition of Eichmeyer to their team. They consider her signing as another German national team player joining their ranks. The team expressed their welcome with the words "Welcome to the Saarland, dear Emma! Welcome to the Royals!"
Eichmeyer's upcoming season with the Saarlouis Royals will be an exciting one, as she prepares for the 2025 European Championship with the German A national team. Her preparation begins on May 25th, 2025, and ends on June 1st, 2025.
The Saarlouis Royals look forward to seeing Eichmeyer in action and believe that her addition will strengthen their team and boost their chances of defending their German Cup title in the upcoming season.
