Emergency services lodged a criminal complaint against a 39-year-old individual for hurling insults and threats against them in BPOLI MD.

On August 18, 2025, a significant incident occurred at the main station in Halle (Saale). At 19:27, smoke was reported in the roof area of a S-Bahn train. As a result, the relevant S-Bahn train was evacuated by the Federal Police Inspectorate Magdeburg and towed to a workshop for further investigation.

During the incident, a 39-year-old man is reported to have insulted and threatened emergency services. The man's actions led to a criminal complaint for insult and threat. The emergency manager and the fire brigade were alerted due to the incident.

Two trains were delayed by a total of eight minutes, and two other trains were partially cancelled due to the incident. Officers of the Federal Police secured the site and tracks 2/3 were closed.

According to current investigations, the man wanted to put his child into a fire engine. This behaviour is being taken very seriously and is currently under investigation.
