Emerged Insights into the Past camaraderie between Prince Harry and Princess Kate Unveiled

In the early years of their respective marriages, Prince Harry and Princess Kate shared a close and warm friendship, a detail that has been highlighted in recent books about the royal family. According to former royal butler Grant Harrold in his book The Royal Butler: My Remarkable Life of Royal Service, which is set to be released on August 28, 2025, Harry was an active part of the family dynamic and was not excluded from social activities.

Harry and Kate often spent time together one-on-one, particularly when Prince William was away. They engaged in casual activities such as shopping or visiting pubs, creating a bond that was described as light-hearted and filled with warmth. One such moment of warmth was reportedly when Kate was moved to tears by a speech Harry gave at William and Kate’s wedding.

Harry’s former girlfriend, Chelsy Davy, was also often present and had a good relationship with Kate, further softening the image of Harry as an outsider. The trio exchanged funny Christmas gifts, adding a touch of informality to their relationships.

This friendly, inclusive, and genuine bond was forged before the later estrangement within the royal family came to dominate public attention. It's worth noting that Robert Jobson's memoir, "The Royal Correspondent: A Life in the Royal Service", which explores Prince Harry's journey from university to the Princess of Wales, was released earlier, and it had already shared details about Harry and Kate's close bond.

Before the release of Grant Harrold's book, his account of the royal family's inner workings had been anticipated as one of the most 'explosive' royal biographies in recent years. It details the fallout between the monarchy and the Duke and Duchess of Sussex, a topic that Prince Harry himself addressed in his best-selling memoir, which was written after his wedding to Meghan Markle.
