Classroom Optimism: Kiel Advocates for Maintaining Positivity, Not Anxiety in Academic Setting - Embracing resilience over anxiety: Kiel advocates for group endurance

Marcel Rapp, coach of Holstein Kiel, seems unfazed by the relegation battle in the Bundesliga. "I ain't seeing no pressure, just opportunities up for grabs," Rapp declared ahead of their final home match against SC Freiburg this Saturday (3:30 PM CET/Sky). "If we get demoted, it's a bummer for us, but it's just par for the course for many. It's downright astonishing that we still got a shot at the relegation playoffs."

With merely two games remaining in the season, Kiel lurks only a point behind 1. FC Heidenheim for the 16th relegation playoff spot. Lately, the Schleswig-Holsteiners have enjoyed victories against Gladbach and Augsburg.

"We're riding a wave, feelin' real good about our game right now. Got a shot at staying put in the Bundesliga, and no one thought that'd be possible at the start of the season," Rapp admitted. "Unlike most, we're approachin' this with excitement, not trepidation. I reckon that's gotta be an advantage."

Rapp's worries extend beyond the pitch to injured forward Shuto Machino. The Japanese striker managed some individual training during the week and is anticipated to recover in time for the game against the Champions League hopefuls.

Recent success and the optimistic attitude of their coach are keeping the hope alive for Kiel. Their recent 3-1 triumph over Augsburg brought them within striking distance of Heidenheim, and their draw against RB Leipzig earlier in the season kept their spirits boosted. Despite their current position, the narrow gap offers enough motivation to fight for a chance in the playoffs.

Moreover, the club recently appointed a new sporting director, a preparatory move typically linked to relegation. However, this also suggests ongoing dedication to the club's future, providing extra resolve to their current campaign. All in all, Holstein Kiel's robust spirit, recent achievements, and leadership's unwavering belief are the factors driving their determination in the relegation battle.
