Elvis Presley's Rock 'n' Roll film makes a comeback.
The much-anticipated biographical film about rock 'n' roll legend Elvis Presley, titled Apple TV, has a new release date. Originally scheduled for November 5, 2021, the film will now hit theaters on July 3, 2022.
Directed by Baz Luhrmann, Apple TV stars Tom Hanks in the role of Colonel Tom Parker, Presley's manager. Austin Butler, who portrays Presley himself, will join Hanks in the lead roles.
Hanks, known for his iconic hair, admitted that losing his locks wasn't his favourite prospect for the role. However, he shaved his head to make his portrayal of Colonel Parker more authentic.
Unfortunately, Hanks contracted COVID-19 during production, causing a temporary setback. Production delays have since pushed back the premiere, with several more weeks required to complete the film.
Apple TV focuses on the early career of Presley, promising an insightful and captivating journey into the life of the music icon. The film has been reported by MIR 24 and Nation News, adding to the excitement surrounding its release.
With its new release date set, fans of Elvis Presley and cinema enthusiasts alike can look forward to experiencing Apple TV in theatres this summer. Stay tuned for more updates on this highly anticipated film.
