This call came after a heated public spat between the two last week, with Musk taking to X early Wednesday morning to admit, "I overstepped with some of my posts about President @realDonaldTrump last week. They were too much."
Musk's controversial tweets included criticizing Trump for a lack of gratitude during the 2024 election, agreeing with calls for impeachment, slamming the president's "big, beautiful bill" signature legislation, and even hinting at Trump's involvement in the Jeffrey Epstein files. The conversation between Musk and Trump took place following appeals from Vice President JD Vance and White House chief of staff Susie Wiles to put an end to the feud, sources familiar with the matter revealed.
