Rosie O'Donnell, the renowned American comedian and former talk show host, has once again found herself at the centre of a feud with former US President Donald Trump. The latest controversy erupted after O'Donnell criticised the Trump administration's response to the devastating floods in central Texas on her TikTok page.

In a series of passionate posts, O'Donnell described herself as a "loud woman," a "queer woman," a "mother who tells the truth," and an "American who got out of the country before Trump set it ablaze." Her comments drew attention last weekend, sparking a response from Trump on his Truth Social platform.

Trump's comment ended with a statement that "GOD BLESS AMERICA!" However, the president's post was not devoid of controversy. He suggested that O'Donnell is a "threat to humanity" and questioned whether she should remain in Ireland if that's where she wants to be.

This comment reignited a decades-long feud between the two figures, which originated in 2006 during O'Donnell's time as a moderator on the daytime talk show *The View*. The conflict began when O'Donnell publicly criticised Trump after he held a press conference to reinstate Tara Conner as Miss USA despite her violating pageant rules.

Since then, the feud has been marked by ongoing verbal clashes, with both figures repeatedly criticising each other publicly over the years. In response to Trump's latest comment, O'Donnell stated that she is "not [Trump's] to silence" and "never was." She also told CNN's Wolf Blitzer and Pamela Brown that she has no regrets about her decision to move abroad.

O'Donnell, a New York native, moved to Ireland shortly before President Trump's inauguration. Upon moving abroad, she stated that she was welcomed with open arms. In an interview with CNN, she expressed that she has no plans to return to the United States, despite Trump's recent remarks.

CNN reached out to the White House about what prompted President Trump's comment, but as of the time of this article's publication, no response has been received. Meanwhile, O'Donnell responded to Trump's post on her Instagram page, reiterating her stance on the Texas flood response and expressing her continued criticism of the former president.

The feud between O'Donnell and Trump serves as a reminder of the polarising effects that political discourse can have, even years after the initial conflict. Despite the decades that have passed, the two figures continue to engage in public spats, reflecting the deeply divided political landscape in the United States.
