Excitement abound for children's racesOnce again, the young athletes stepped into the limelight. From the youngest balance bike riders to the 10-13-year-olds who completed up to two rounds on mountain bikes, city bikes, and racing bikes – the rising talents left spectators thrilled. A record-breaking 117 children participated in the children's races.
Gabi Zollfrank, managing director of Dust Cloud Refrath: "The children's races, as in previous years, were the undeniable highlight of the event and caused great enthusiasm. We are particularly pleased about the high participation, with more children joining each year."
Relief also arose concerning another matter: "The condition of the road surface on Frankenforster Straße has long been a cause for concern. This year, the road was repaired in advance by the municipal road maintenance department, which was highly appreciated by the riders. Many thanks to the city of Bergisch Gladbach for that," said Gabi Zollfrank.
