Carnival committee Neuss (KA) initiates their jubilee session on November 11th at 11:11 AM, with the Hoppeditzer ceremony taking place in front of the Vogthaus under St.Quirin's watch. Celebrating 55 years of confetti rain, this 5 x 11 jubilee will operate under the theme `Neuss party in all ways`. According to KA President Andreas Picker, the new session introduces several novel elements.

Eleventh day marks the initiation of Jeckens' anniversary event.

Refreshing news for carnival lovers! The forthcoming Sessions magazine will now be called "Confetti Courier". As for the events at the Zeughaus, the Karnevalssgeneraschaff (KA) has brought on board two popular local restaurateurs, Marvin Schorn and Oliver Lebioda, who are set to organize the carnival bash on Altweiber and Kappessonntag, as well as the Kappesfete.

There's a change in the escorting duo for the upcoming prince couples too. Ralf Gehlen, a 48-year-old member of the City and Prince's Guard Neuss, has replaced the outgoing prince leader, Dieter Schiller, as the new companion. "It's an honor and a delight for me to accompany the prince couples of the City of Neuss in the future," said Gehlen.

Planning the prince couple's itinerary and coordinating their appearances are part of Gehlen's responsibilities. Those interested in having the prince couple of the City of Neuss grace their events during the new session should reach out to Gehlen via email at [email protected].

The upcoming winners of the prince couple title, Robert Roeb and Laura Kievits, will be proclaimed on November 15. Prepare for the grand proclamation ceremony in the Zeughaus, where more than 300 carnival enthusiasts and guests will gather. Remaining tickets are available at the box office from 5:30 PM.

Roeb and Kievits, being the second youngest prince couple in the 55-year history of the Neuss Carnival Committee, represent a new, youthful energy. "These two are young and vibrant, and we aim to show that the Neuss carnival is just as appealing to young people," said Vice President Sabine Roeb, who is also the proud mother of the designated prince.

November is brimming with session openings and Hoppeditz watch services, while December traditionally marks a carnival-free period.

The festivities continue in the new year, as the KA and various clubs have many large and small events lined up, with details available at www.ka-neuss.de under "Dates". The jubilee will also be celebrated in this session with the district prince meeting of the Rhein-Kreis Neuss, a first-time district children's prince meeting, and a jubilee event "by carnivalists for carnivalists". Furthermore, in collaboration with Sparkasse Neuss, an exhibition featuring orders and pictures from 55 years of Neuss Carnival will be held.

And let's not forget the main event – the street carnival! It begins on February 27, 2025, with the Altweiber treiben on the market square and includes the storming of the town hall, followed by the Altweiber party in the Zeughaus. The Kappessonntagszug on March 2 winds its way through the Neuss city center, marking the end of the sessions. Be there to witness the excitement!

The following updates also illuminate entertainments outside the carnival events. Social-media platforms and local movie-and-TV sections will share details about the jubilee, district prince meeting, first-time district children's prince meeting, and the jubilee event "by carnivalists for carnivalists". Movies-and-tv enthusiasts and social-media followers can learn more about these events at www.ka-neuss.de under "Dates".
