Electronic band Magnetic Skies unleash their latest synthpop track titled 'Back To Life,' now available for listening
Magnetic Skies Announces UK Tour for November 2025
British synthpop collective Magnetic Skies has announced a series of UK tour dates in November 2025. The tour will kick off at The Victoria in Birmingham on 5th November, followed by The Grace in London on 6th November, Heartbreakers in Southampton on 12th November, and The Hug & Pint in Glasgow on 19th November.
The tour comes in support of Magnetic Skies' latest single, "Back To Life," which was released on all major streaming platforms on 25th July 2025. This single, with its '80s synthpop influences and darkwave undertones, explores themes of connection and hope amid modern fragmentation. The music video for "Back To Life" features timelapse photography reflecting modern society.
"Back To Life" is not the first release from Magnetic Skies in 2025. Earlier in the year, they released the track and video "A Place on Earth." The collective was formed in 2019 by Simon Kent (vocals, keys) and Jo Womar (keys), initially as a studio-based project influenced by 1980s synthpop and post-punk. Since then, they have been joined by drummer Lenin Alegria.
Their 2023 debut album, titled "Empire Falling," showcased a mature sound that blends nostalgic synth textures with modern darkwave elements. Most production for their full-length debut album was handled in-house by Kent, with additional mixing by Rob Aubrey. "Back To Life" continues this theme, exploring the tension between our deep, universal connection and the fragmentation we face in the modern world. According to Kent, the song is a call to reconnect and bring something broken back into wholeness.
Magnetic Skies' thematic elements in "Back To Life" include sensing chaos, feeling the void, and holding on to hope. These themes are reflected in the lyrics and the powerful, emotive delivery of the song. The single follows "Empire Falling" and the Spring single "A Place on Earth."
With the upcoming UK tour, Magnetic Skies is set to bring their unique brand of synthpop to audiences across the country. Fans of the genre and those who appreciate thoughtful, introspective music should not miss this opportunity to witness the collective's live performance.
