Electrica Completes Satu Mare 2 PV Park, Boosting Romania's Renewable Energy

Electrica, a leading energy provider in Romania, has completed and commissioned the Satu Mare 2 photovoltaic park. This significant project, partially funded by the National Recovery and Resilience Plan, aligns with Electrica's commitment to Romania's sustainable future and reducing carbon emissions.

The Satu Mare 2 park boasts an impressive installed capacity of 27.056 MW, representing an investment of over €20 million. It consists of a 27.056 MW photovoltaic power plant, a 110/20 kV user transformer substation, and connection works to the distribution grid. This project is a testament to Electrica's long-term strategic direction to develop sustainable energy projects and diversify its portfolio.

Alexandru Chirita, CEO of Electrica, expressed his satisfaction with the completion of the park. He stated that it is a significant step towards increasing the share of renewable energy in Electrica's energy mix and reducing carbon emissions. The park is expected to contribute to this goal, serving the 4 million users that Electrica provides services to in Romania.

Electrica's Satu Mare 2 photovoltaic park, now operational, reinforces the company's role as a reliable partner in achieving national and European sustainability objectives. This project, along with Electrica's listing on the Bucharest and London stock exchanges since 2014, demonstrates the company's commitment to sustainable energy and its dedication to Romania's future.
