Elections in Delhi: Over 80% of contesting candidates, among them 67 Congress party leaders, failed to maintain their deposit amounts
In the recently concluded Delhi Assembly elections, a significant number of candidates found themselves forfeiting their security deposits. The results, declared on Saturday, revealed that a majority of candidates from various parties, including independents, failed to secure even 1/6th of the votes required to save their deposits.
