"Election Guard Kept Votes: Rahul Gandhi's Jibe at Election Commission"
In a bold move, Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has levelled serious allegations against the Election Commission, accusing them of election polls manipulation and shielding those responsible for 'vote chors' (vote thieves). Addressing Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar directly, Gandhi demanded evidence be provided to the Karnataka CID and urged him to stop giving excuses and perform his duties as India's chief election commissioner. Gandhi claimed that specific examples of voter deletions and additions were found in various states, including the Aland constituency in Karnataka (6,018 votes deleted), Rajura constituency in Maharashtra (6,850 voters added), and in Maharashtra, Haryana, Uttar Pradesh, and Bihar using automated software. He cited data from a Karnataka assembly constituency to support his claim of systematic vote deletions for Congress supporters on election day. The Congress leader's allegations were reported by PTI and he reiterated his claims of 'election polls theft' against the Election Commission. In a press conference, he shared a video explaining his allegations of election polls manipulation and accused the Election Commission of being an 'election watchman' that 'stayed awake, watched the theft, and protected the thieves.' Gandhi also appealed to India's youth, students, and Gen Z to defend the Constitution and protect democracy. He accused the Chief Election Commissioner, Gyanesh Kumar, of protecting those who allegedly destroyed democracy. However, the Election Commission dismissed Gandhi's allegations as 'incorrect and baseless.' They clarified that no vote deletion can be done online by the public. The Commission also stated that they are committed to ensuring free and fair elections. Rahul Gandhi's current disclosures were not the 'hydrogen bomb' revelations he had previously promised. Nevertheless, he continues to intensify his attack on the poll panel, accusing the Election Commission of shielding 'vote chors' and demanding information sought by the Karnataka CID in an ongoing investigation into voter deletions. In a post on X in Hindi, Gandhi further supported his claim of election polls theft, referring to a 'vote theft factory' and alleging mass voter deletions via misuse of Form 7. The Congress leader's allegations have sparked a heated debate in the political arena, with both supporters and critics expressing their views.
