Unleashing the Oblivion Grandma: Just like a caterpillar metamorphosing into a butterfly or Pikachu evolving into Raichu, Shirley Curry, or Skyrim Grandma, has emerged from her cocoon, now gracing Cyrodiil as Oblivion Grandma—Remastered. This 85-year-old powerhouse born in 1936, an evergreen in the YouTube Skyrim community, has been consistently uploading roleplaying-focused Skyrim videos since her maiden voyage a decade ago. Even earning a nod from Bethesda herself, this grandma is now exploring uncharted territories, taking on Oblivion with her signature zest.

Curry's videos, "Learning" and "Still Learning," showcase her initial bewilderment and eventual affection for the remastered game. From expressing frustration over the different control schemes to marveling at the breathtaking visuals, her journey through Cyrodiil is nothing short of entertaining.

In her world, the alphabet's role seems to be sacrosanct, causing a bit of a commotion when she encounters the new control scheme. "For the love of God, why can't games keep their alphabetical secrets to themselves? I press F, and it puts [weapons] away... R used to put my weapon away!" she laments.

As someone who spent an extensive portion of their adolescence wandering the hills of Oblivion, it's quite amusing to see this new, Skyrim-pilled perspective unfold. However, one wonders how long Curry will remain in the realm of Oblivion.

Her second video sees her venturing into the dark, labyrinthine depths of one of the game's numerous caves, which might not be the best introduction for a newcomer. The opaque lockpicking system leaves her puzzled and frustrated, causing her to let out a rather discontented sigh before giving up and resorting to auto-resolve. Someone should definitely tell her about lockpicking cheese methods!

Yet, despite the challenges, one can't help but hope that Curry will persevere and fall head over heels for Cyrodiil. Perhaps, she'll even muster up the courage to dive into Morrowind, leading to the birth of the first "Morrowboomer" from the Morrow-Silent Generation.
