ElBaradei Proposes National Salvation Government to End Egypt's Crisis

Mohamed ElBaradei, a prominent figure in Egypt's political scene, has proposed a solution to the ongoing crisis. He suggests forming a national salvation government, with himself at the helm if officially asked and given full powers. Notably, he suggests including other presidential candidates Abdel Moneim Abouel Fotouh and Hamdeen Sabbahi in this politico government. However, he would withdraw from the presidential race if he heads the national salvation government.

ElBaradei's proposal comes amidst a week of deadly clashes between protesters and security forces. He has met with youth groups who refuse Prime Minister Kamal Ganzouri and support a national salvation government. His nomination has been supported by revolutionary groups and protesters in Tahrir Square. The military council has agreed to meet with ElBaradei, along with another presidential candidate Amr Moussa, to discuss the current crisis.

ElBaradei's suggestion for a national salvation government is a response to the ongoing political turmoil. It's a move aimed at uniting key political figures and addressing the demands of the protesters. However, it remains to be seen which politico ElBaradei mentioned in his statement as potential collaborators in his government if officially invited.

ElBaradei's proposal for a national salvation government is a significant development in Egypt's political landscape. If implemented, it could potentially unite key political figures and address the demands of the protesters. However, the success of this proposal depends on the willingness of other political figures to collaborate and the support of the military council and the people.
