Tribute Performance: Debut of 'Eagle Hearts' Music Piece - Eintracht tribute marked by debut of "Eaglehearts" symphony
Title: Rowdy, Heartfelt Salute to Eintracht Frankfurt: Premiere of "Adlerherzen"
- Whoop-whoop
An evening full of chants, Hessian humor, and endless Eintracht anecdotes, the theater production "Adlerherzen" for Eintracht Frankfurt's Bundesliga club had its premiere in Dreieich-Sprendlingen. Dressed in Eintracht jerseys and scarves, the enthusiastic audience gave standing ovations for close to three hours.
"Adlerherzen" is a tribute to the club, its rich history, recent triumphs, and, most importantly, its dedicated fanbase! Conceived and penned by Henni Nachtsheim of the comedy duo "Badesalz", the 68-year-old takes the stage in various roles. He is joined by seven other performers, including his son Max.
The show unfolds in two entertaining halves. The narrative follows a young woman trying to secure season tickets for her four nephews. She juggles various jobs – from stadium catering to physiotherapy – and encounters numerous situations that, naturally, revolve around Eintracht and its fans. Expect the highs and lows, the frustration, excitement, and superstition that come with being a fan. The audience often applauds scenes, and many popular songs are sung along loud and proud.
From therapy sessions for traumatized Eintracht fans to passionate debates about the best goal of all time in a pub, there's never a dull moment. Highlights include the most beautiful goals being showcased on large screens, unexpected appearances from Eintracht stars, and a shout-out to the stunning fan choreographies. Also, let's not forget that Eintracht is more than just a football club – its diverse range of sports is highlighted in the production.
"I've waited a long time for an evening like this," Nachtsheim shared after the show. The idea for "Adlerherzen" has been six years in the making. But after Eintracht's 2022 Europa Cup win and their triumphant night in Sevilla, the club reached out to Nachtsheim, and the project was revived.
Ali Neander, a familiar face from the Rodgau Monotones, provides the fitting music, and Andreana Clemenz directs. With 17 performances remaining, some of which are already sold out, the Bürgerhaus Dreieich-Sprendlingen stage will continue to shake with the passionate energy of Eintracht fans.
