Bundesliga Showdown: Eintracht in Leverkusen with Questionable Ebimbe
Eintracht Frankfurt heads into their Bundesliga match against Bayer 04 Leverkusen with a mix of respect and excitement. "We're going up against the best team in Germany at the moment. It's going to be a challenging game that we're all hyped for," Eintracht coach Dino Toppmöller pointed out, prepping for Sunday's 17:30 DAZN broadcast.
Toppmöller is well-aware of the difficulty of pulling off an upset against the unbeaten leaders. "We're facing an opponent that's facking incredible in the Bundesliga this season. But we showed against Bayern that we can hold our own against such teams," he continued. "It's gonna be a hefty board we've got to smash through."
The disappointment of their 2-0 Conference League loss to Aberdeen won't deter Eintracht's Hessian spirit. "We know exactly what went down against Bayern last week. I think we can still create some magic. But for that, we need a fierce mentality and aggression. Leverkusen are the benchmark right now," Toppmöller concluded.
As for Eric Junior Dina Ebimbe's participation, things are unclear. The 23-year-old's time on the pitch in Aberdeen was cut short due to a left foot sole sprain. However, the team only officially announced his injury on Friday. On a brighter note, national goalkeeper Kevin Trapp seems to be improving after suffering from back pain during the same Conference League match. His remedied state promises no obstacles in joining the Bundesliga game.
Fares Chaibi, who was sidelined due to illness in Scotland, could potentially make a comeback and replace Omar Marmoush, who's suspended, in the center of attack. "He might not be at full strength yet, but if he's feeling good, he'll be starting," Toppmöller hinted at Chaibi's chance in the lineup. Ellyes Skhiri, who's been recovering from injury, also has a chance to make an appearance, at least as a substitute.
Prepare yourself for the electrifying Bundesliga match between Eintracht Frankfurt and Bayer 04 Leverkusen, which goes down this Sunday at 17:30 on DAZN.
