Striker Kalimuendo Strengthens Eintracht Frankfurt - Eintracht Frankfurt secures Kalimuendo on loan to strengthen attack ahead of Dortmund clash
Eintracht Frankfurt has bolstered its attack with a new loan signing. The Bundesliga side secured French forward Arnaud Kalimuendo from Nottingham Forest until the end of the season. The deal includes an option to make the move permanent.
The club has also been active in other transfer news, bringing in Younes Ebnoutalib from SV Elversberg while sending Elye Wahi out on loan to OGC Nice.
Kalimuendo, 23, arrives with a reputation for speed, sharp runs, and clinical finishing. His work rate off the ball has also been noted as a key asset. The forward only joined Nottingham Forest last summer for around €30 million after leaving Stade Rennais.
Eintracht’s sporting director, Markus Krösche, highlighted Kalimuendo’s abilities in an official club statement. The signing comes as the team prepares for its Bundesliga return against Borussia Dortmund on January 9, 2026.
Meanwhile, the club’s first training session under coach Dino Toppmöller saw absences. Strikers Jonathan Burkardt and Michy Batshuayi missed the session due to injuries. Their fitness remains a concern ahead of the upcoming fixture.
The transfer activity follows Frankfurt’s broader reshuffle in attack. Alongside Kalimuendo’s arrival, the club has added winger Younes Ebnoutalib from third-division side SV Elversberg. At the same time, young forward Elye Wahi has been loaned to Ligue 1 outfit OGC Nice for the remainder of the campaign.
Kalimuendo’s loan deal provides Eintracht Frankfurt with an immediate attacking option. His experience in top European leagues could bolster the team’s offensive line. The club will now focus on integrating new signings before facing Dortmund in the new year. Meanwhile, the fitness of Burkardt and Batshuayi will be closely monitored as the squad regroups under Toppmöller.
