Eintracht Frankfurt Fans Attacked After Cup Match: Police Seek Witnesses
Two fans of Eintracht Frankfurt, aged 24 and 25, were victims of an unprovoked attack following a cup match between Lok Leipzig and their team. The incident occurred around 12:20 PM on Straße des 18. Oktobers. Police are appealing for witnesses who may have seen the assault.
The two victims were set upon by two suspects, both described as being around 20 to 25 years old. The first attacker was athletic, dressed in black jogging pants with white stripes, a black jacket, and black/white sneakers. The second was muscular, wearing beige pants, a black t-shirt with a red symbol, a black cap, and black sneakers.
The 25-year-old fan was punched in the face, while his companion sustained other injuries. Despite the severity of the attack, the identities of the witnesses who observed the incident remain unknown.
Police are urging anyone who may have seen the attack or has information about the suspects to come forward. The victims are recovering from their injuries, and the investigation continues.
