Eintracht Braunschweig: The relegation's been averted! But fans got a clear demand

Despite a relegation scare, the Frenchman was already packing his bags. At Eintracht Braunschweig, he went from zero to hero, earning the interest of several Bundesliga clubs. Benjamin Kessel, the sports director, had even touted back in March that Philippe was too good for Eintracht Braunschweig and was destined for the Bundesliga[2].

The Mainz transfer fell through

The rumors of Philippe joining Mainz were rife. And they escalated. Verbal agreements were in place, and a buyout of around €2 to €2.5 million was agreed upon. But now it's gone sideways. According to Sky Germany and Get Football News Germany, the deal crumbled in the final talks. With Mainz already snapping up Benedict Hollerbach for a whopping €10 million with a similar playing style, the collapse seems to be a done deal.
