Every time a dolphin or turtle popped up, we'd flip our lids and watch until they vanished. + EagerGal19 hours agoMay 9, 202511:34 pmI've spent over three hours "hanging" with the furry neighbors outside our flat tonight with my tot. We've lived here for four years, and I still adore this little activity. (I've got dog allergies, but it just makes me want to meet these pups even more.) + SandyCalifornia19 hours agoMay 10, 202512:01 amWhen I initially moved from Minneapolis to San Diego, I was on the Coaster Train heading to Irvine, and a pack of dolphins caught my eye. The sight was breathtaking and brought a tear to my eye.* JazzyJessica1 day agoMay 9, 20256:41 pmAlright, but being the Paul Revere of GOOD news rocks. Not so much with the bad news, though. That's an entirely different, more historically accurate vibe.* VideoGameGuru2523 hours agoMay 9, 20257:23 pmNice and heart-warming to skim through - thanks 😊* ColorfulCanine20 hours agoMay 9, 202510:55 pm#13. Cherish your loved ones. My grandparents passed away young. My last grandmother left us when I was in my twenties. My father departed when I was in my forties, and my mom went last year. I can't overemphasize how directionless I feel most of the time. I'd give anything for that sense of calm.... + PetLover17 hours agoMay 10, 20251:22 amI'm so sorry for your loses. I'm about to turn 44 and I just have my 78-year-old mom. Lost my last grandparent in 2017, and my father in 2003 (he was only 56, and I was pregnant with his namesake at the time). I don't know what I'll do when I lose my mom. I talk to her every day. It's usually for only 10 minutes, but it means something. She's outlived her parents, who died at 70 and 74. I don't take her for granted.... + ColorfulCanine7 hours agoMay 10, 202511:54 am@heatherchristie Oh, I just want to give you a hug. This is so touching and kind of you. I'm actually getting emotional. Give yourself hugs from me.* SkunkMan23 hours agoMay 9, 20258:15 pmGreat list. Just what I needed today.* ArtisticElle1 day agoMay 9, 20256:55 pmI get the gist of #8, so kudos for that. This post gave me a good vibe for a Friday. Thanks, BF* Anonymous1 day agoMay 9, 20256:25 pm#8 seemed cool? they just mentioned they were forced into something they didn't want to do and were, like, what the heck? + OneSharpTeacher12 hours agoMay 10, 20256:20 amThis perfectly sums up people today. I'm a teacher, and I can't believe the number of children who give up a club after trying it once. I admire parents who make their children stick with it and explain that there's a cost involved as well. Usually, these children end up loving it and becoming stronger, more resilient people because of it. They also gain a sense of pride and increased self-confidence. Obviously, this isn't always true, but it's not the case for this post.... + BexoBexo6 hours agoMay 10, 202512:47 pmIf she was truly forced into it, there's no way she'd enjoy playing it now, especially as a stress reliever.* FierceSasha15 hours agoMay 10, 20253:30 am10 - how the heck can you consider yourself Polish and native to Chicago? + NYCForever12 hours agoMay 10, 20257:06 amChicago used to have the largest Polish population in the world after Warsaw. I'm not sure if that's still the case, but the Polish-American vibe in Chicago is strong and real. Many Poles in Chicago are immigrants, so it wouldn't surprise me if the 94-year-old Polish grandmother was one as well.... + FierceSasha12 hours agoMay 10, 20257:13 am@NYCForever Yes, she probably was. But that would make her a Polish national, not a Chicago native.* DualTwintwo18 hours agoMay 10, 202512:17 amWait, where can I get the special latte mentioned in #2?* ExasperatedUgh1 day agoMay 9, 20257:12 pm Remember: the Catholic Church still despises women. If you're a woman, scram! Run away fast as you can!* NYCForever12 hours agoMay 10, 20257:07 am#18 - That single flower really got to me.* JourneyDogLover10 hours agoMay 10, 20258:20 am#1 I've got a pair of dalmatians - confirmed. One's a rare lemon dalmatian. People actually stop their cars and scream, "Wow, those are dalmatians!"* RelaxedMom23 hours agoMay 9, 20257:17 pmI love #16. Going to try it out, big life goals ahead!
