Eight-year-old child sustains minor injuries in scooter accident, underscoring the fact that e-scooters should not be considered mere playthings.

On Wednesday afternoon, September 3rd, a traffic accident occurred on Lindenstraße in Bedburg, Rhein-Erft-Kreis. The incident involved an 8-year-old boy who was lightly injured and a 12-year-old girl riding an E-scooter.

According to the police report, the accident took place on the sidewalk towards Graf-Salm-Straße, near house number 51. The girl's E-Scooter collided frontally with the 8-year-old boy, causing him to be thrown back approximately two meters. He sustained minor injuries as a result.

Emergency services were immediately called to the scene, and they treated the boy at the site. Witnesses provided first aid to the boy until the arrival of the emergency services. The police arrived shortly after and documented the accident scene. Witness statements were recorded by the officers.

All guardians were present when the police arrived at the scene. The accident occurred at approximately 3:45 PM. The girl was too young to legally drive the E-scooter.
