The round of 16 will pit the top eight from each zone against each other in a single match at the better-placed team's stadium. In case of a tie after 90 minutes, the series will be decided by penalties. The quarters and semis will also take place at the stadium of the team that finished better in the group stage, except for the final, which will be played at a neutral stadium with a 30-minute extra time if needed and a penalty shootout if the score remains the same. The winner of the Apertura Tournament will be crowned on June 1.
