Egypt's tap and valve market experienced a sharp decline in 2024. Both imports and exports from Egypt dropped significantly, reversing previous growth trends. Prices, however, rose for both imported and exported goods during the same period.

The market for taps, valves, and similar products in Egypt shrank in 2024. Imports from Egypt fell by X% to X tons, ending three years of steady increases. The total value of these imports reached $X, down from higher figures recorded in earlier years.

The average price for imported taps and valves from Egypt climbed to $X per ton, marking a X% rise compared to 2023. China, Italy, and the UK remained the top suppliers, together covering X% of Egypt's total imports. Exports from Egypt also suffered a notable drop. Shipments fell to X tons, a X% decrease from 2023. The value of these exports declined to $X, while the average export price rose to $X per ton. The United Arab Emirates was the largest buyer, accounting for X% of Egypt's total exports. Historical data shows that Egypt's tap and valve consumption peaked in 2014 at $X. Since then, demand has remained lower, with 2024 continuing this downward trend. Between 2012 and 2024, Egypt's main export markets included Italy, Saudi Arabia, the US, the UK, and Turkey. Italy led consistently, importing an average of $20-40 million annually, followed by Saudi Arabia with $15-30 million due to strong regional trade links.

Egypt's tap and valve sector saw lower trade volumes in 2024, with both imports and exports from Egypt declining. Prices for these goods increased, but the overall market value shrank. The United Arab Emirates remained the top export destination for Egypt, while China, Italy, and the UK dominated as key suppliers for Egypt.
