Edmonton Oilers Acquire Goaltender Connor Ingram for Stanley Cup Push

The Edmonton Oilers have acquired goaltender Connor Ingram from the Utah Mammoth in a trade for future considerations. Ingram will start the season in the American Hockey League as he continues to work through personal issues, including the recent loss of his mother to breast cancer. The Oilers hope this move will bolster their goaltending and help them compete for the Stanley Cup.

Ingram, who has struggled in recent seasons, had a 3.27 goals-against average and a .882 save percentage in the Utah Mammoth's inaugural season. However, the Oilers are confident in his abilities, having previously seen him win 23 games with a 2.91 goals-against average and a .907 save percentage in the 2022-23 season with the Arizona Coyotes. General Manager Stan Bowman believes Ingram can be the answer to the Oilers' goaltending woes. To facilitate the trade, the Oilers will retain $800,000 of Ingram's salary, helping the Mammoth fit under the salary cap.

Connor Ingram's journey back to form continues as he joins the Edmonton Oilers. With the support of the organization and his teammates, Ingram aims to prove his worth and help the Oilers achieve their ultimate goal of winning the Stanley Cup.
