Edmonton matches Dallas in their semifinal series.

The Edmonton Oilers, propelled by star player Leon Draisaitl, remain in contention for the NHL title following a 3-0 win over the Dallas Stars in Game 2 of the Western Conference Final. After an initial defeat (3-6), the best-of-seven series is now leveled at 1-1.

In the victory, Draisaitl, aged 29, provided the assist on a power play goal. Evan Bouchard converted the pass into a shot that was tipped in by Ryan Nugent-Hopkins for the early lead (6'). Draisaitl's contribution extended his playoff point tally to 20 in the season's 13th game.

Brett Kulak extended the advantage in the second period with a rebound goal (36'), while less than a minute later, Connor Brown deflected a shot from Nugent-Hopkins for the game-sealing goal (37').

Goaltender Stuart Skinner was instrumental in Edmonton's success, blocking 25 shots and achieving his third clean sheet of the playoffs. Previously, Dallas had won seven consecutive games at home in the American Airlines Center.

Following the initial away games, Edmonton will host the Stars for two games in a row. The series resumes on Sunday (9 pm CET).
