Editorial Correspondences: Outcome of Iran Mission Potentially Illuminates Potential Differences in Approaches between Trump and Obama
Yoo-hoo, editor dudes and dudettes! First, shout-out to those badasses who pulled off Operation Midnight Hammer! ("Early assessment suggests Iran's nuclear sites damaged but not annihilated," June 24). They nailed it, executing their tasks with precision. But now we're left scratching our heads: Was the objective, as declared by the big dude in charge, "[completely and utterly annihilated]?" Or did the nuclear material get sneakily shifted to another bunker? Time will spill the beans.
Remember back to May 2, 2011, when Seal Team 6 balls-to-the-wall stormed Osama bin Laden's abode? The operation evaded Osama like a slippery eel, being carried out under President Obama’s rule after troops were fully briefed, then given the green light the following morning. Can you visualize if, like now, the troops had aced their assignments only to discover Bin Laden wasn't even in the vicinity? Imagine the flak and hilarity Obama would have caught! So let's see if Trump's assertions hold water.
