During their karaoke journey, Sheeran also confessed his disdain for having a cellphone. He swapped his phone for an iPad earlier this year, citing the countless messages as a major reason for his decision. Sheeran pointed out how most messages weren't even about checking in, but rather requesting favors. After a while, it became draining, so he decided to make a change.
