Ed Sheeran's Unique Charity Auction

Ed Sheeran, the renowned pop singer, is known for his generous heart and commitment to charitable causes. Recently, he announced an extraordinary campaign where he'll be auctioning off a bunch of his worn clothes, including 149 pairs of underpants (allegedly worn by half of them), to raise funds for East Anglia's Children's Hospices (EACH). The auction kicks off on November 16th, 20X, on EACH's eBay page.

No trips to the laundry for these clothes. According to British media reports, the items are being sold just as Ed delivered them – unwashed and un ironed. The singer dropped off these goods at an EACH store in Framlingham, Suffolk, where he grew up.

This auction will unfold in three stages. It begins on November 16th, with additional windows on November 26th and December 3rd. During these dates, 186 pieces will be put up for bids. Another 239 items will follow in the next year. The remaining 20 items will be reserved for the opening of future EACH stores. Each item begins with a starting bid of £9.99 (approximately €11).

Ed Sheeran has been supporting EACH since 2014, during a previous auction that raised around £1,700 (approximately €1,900) for the organization. Back then, only 17 items were auctioned off. The most expensive item turned out to be a onesie, fetching £300 (roughly €343).

Aside from Ed Sheeran's chosen underpants, other items available in the auction include 20 sweaters, 11 pairs of pants, 14 hats, and 73 pairs of socks. Even fan merchandise from the singer's favorite football club, Ipswich Town, is up for grabs in this pop culture auction.

While the enrichment data does not provide the exact number of items in the auction, you can visit the EACH's eBay page or conduct a more detailed search to find out the complete list and total items available.
