Lancashire Cricket Expresses Disappointment and Condemns Misogynistic Comments Following Liam Livingstone's Dismissal
In a surprising turn of events during the semi-final match, Lancashire Cricket's Liam Livingstone was dismissed by Lewis Gregory. The dismissal, however, has sparked controversy off the field, with misogynistic comments directed towards TV Umpire Sue Redfern following her decision.
Redfern, who made history as the first woman to stand as an umpire in a T20 Blast match, the first female full-time professional umpire on the ECB books in 2022, and the first woman to officiate in an England men's international match in 2021, deemed there was no bat involved in Livingstone's dismissal, which was given as LBW for 29.
