Eastern Yakutsk: Journey from the Arctic to Economic Ventures
The Republic of Sakha (Yakutia) is set to participate in the 10th Eastern Economic Forum, showcasing its unique cultural heritage, investment opportunities, and tourism potential at the "Street of the Far East" exhibition in Vladivostok from September 3rd to 9th.
Organised by the Roscongress Foundation and the Presidential Envoy's Office in the Far Eastern Federal District, the Yakutia exhibition will be a vibrant mix of cultural, economic, and sporting elements.
Visitors can expect to immerse themselves in the distinctive lifestyle of the Yakut people, as the exhibition will feature a representation of the region's culture and traditions. This includes showcasing Yakutia's unique natural heritage, such as Arctic symbols like the rare stork, reintroduced bison, and mammoth fauna.
In terms of economic opportunities, the exhibition will highlight strategic priorities such as sustainable development, investment openness, technological partnerships, and international cooperation. Major industrial projects in Yakutia will be presented, and the promotion of creative industries and entrepreneurship support will be discussed.
The Yakutia pavilion area on the Far East Street will host an international mas-wrestling tournament, featuring world champions and international medalists. This sporting event serves as a unique cultural and athletic attraction, reflecting Yakutia's identity and community engagement.
The Lena Pillars National Park, a UNESCO World Heritage site, will receive special attention at the Yakutia exhibition. The expansion of Yakutia's export and tourism potential will also be a key focus, with a separate section of the exhibition dedicated to showcasing popular regional brands, featuring jewelry and souvenir items, clothing, and accessories.
Digital solutions implementation will be a significant part of the Yakutia exhibition, aiming to demonstrate the region's commitment to technological advancement. The cultural program will combine traditional folklore, classical, and contemporary art, offering a rich and diverse experience for all attendees.
Guests and participants of "Street of the Far East" will have the opportunity to visit an exhibition-fair of products from Yakutian producers and purchase a memorable souvenir. With its blend of cultural, economic, and sporting elements, the Yakutia exhibition aims to strategically position the region as both a cultural hub and an investment-friendly destination within the Far Eastern economic landscape.
