Car rental prices for Easter 2026 are set to change across the globe. In most countries, travellers will pay less than they did in 2025. However, Germany and the U.S. are seeing sharp increases, with Germany becoming one of the priciest destinations for rental vehicles.

Easter 2026 lands on the first weekend of April. A study of around 11 million rental offers shows mixed trends in pricing. While 11 out of 15 surveyed countries will see cheaper rates, Austria stands out with the steepest drop—rentals there now cost just over half of what they did in Easter 2025.

Other nations with notable price cuts include Canada, the UK, Ireland, Greece, and France. Yet not all travellers will benefit from lower costs.
