EastEnders reveals return of Patrick's son, Anthony Trueman
In the bustling world of Albert Square, the long-awaited return of Anthony Trueman (Nicholas Bailey) to EastEnders has brought a whirlwind of drama and emotion.
Anthony, who last graced our screens in 2014, made a surprise appearance early on the morning of Patrick Trueman's (Rudolph Walker) wedding to Yolande Clarke. Little did he know, Patrick had recently been discharged from the hospital after a robbery and attack at his home.
Meanwhile, Patrick's son, Oscar Branning (Aaron Thiara), is struggling with guilt over an event that transpired on the night of the robbery. His confession to attacking Patrick has caused significant distress and complications for the Trueman-Fox family, leading to demands to report Oscar, tensions involving Lauren Fox (Jacqueline Jossa), and emotional strain that has caused Patrick to postpone the wedding.
The return of Anthony Trueman has undeniably become a pivotal storyline in EastEnders, revolving around supporting Patrick during this crisis and confronting the fallout from Oscar's confession.
Elsewhere in Albert Square, Callum Highway (Tony Clay) is excited when Johnny Carter (Toby-Alexander Smith) returns home early from his holiday cruise. However, Callum's excitement soon turns to jealousy when he sees Johnny on a date at The Albert.
In a separate plotline, Joel Marshall (Adam Woodyatt) is determined to get tickets to see his favourite male online influencer. In his quest, he accepts a job offered by Harry Mitchell to wipe stolen phones. However, complications arise when Tommy Moon, a friend of Joel's, discovers his mother Kat's stolen phone in the mix and hears a recent voicemail confession about Kat's estranged daughter, Zoe.
As the drama unfolds, EastEnders continues to air Monday to Thursday at 7:30pm on BBC One. Catch up on the latest episodes on BBC iPlayer. Okie's presence at Kojo Asare's flat remains a mystery, adding another layer of intrigue to the ongoing saga of Albert Square.
