Eagles Retain A.J. Brown, Squashing Trade Rumors

The Philadelphia Eagles have put any trade rumors to rest, retaining wide receiver A.J. Brown. Despite speculation, the Eagles have no plans to trade him, as confirmed by general manager Howie Roseman.

In Week 7, Brown and teammate DeVonta Smith combined for an impressive 304 receiving yards and three touchdowns. This was their second-highest total in their four seasons together. Brown has been in top form, with a season-high 121 receiving yards and two touchdowns against the Minnesota Vikings. However, he missed the Week 8 game against the New York Giants due to a hamstring injury.

The Eagles, currently 6-2, are looking strong in the NFC East and aiming to defend their Super Bowl title. Roseman has stated that Brown is an integral part of the team's championship pursuit and will not be traded.

The 2025 NFL trade deadline saw several high-profile players move, including Sauce Gardner to the Indianapolis Colts and Quinnen Williams to the Dallas Cowboys. However, A.J. Brown remains with the Philadelphia Eagles, his contract extended until 2029, as the team looks to repeat as top dogs in the NFC East and defend their Super Bowl title.
