Eagle Mountain Casino in California to initiate expansion, planned for hotel and resort development
The Tule River Tribe, based in Porterville, California, is set to embark on a significant expansion of their Eagle Mountain Casino, with a focus on hotel and resort development. The groundbreaking ceremony for this ambitious project is scheduled for an upcoming Tuesday.
This expansion, worth an estimated $220 million, forms part of a broader tribal-state gaming compact signed in 2020, which authorized the relocation and full development of Eagle Mountain Casino near the Porterville Airport.
The construction work for the second phase of this expansion will be handled by Tutor Perini Corporation, a renowned construction company that will manage key tasks like concrete work and HVVAC systems internally, reducing subcontracting risks and supporting timely project delivery.
The groundbreaking ceremony will mark the beginning of this phase, which is planned for completion in 2027. The event will include presentations of the new Eagle Mountain Casino and Resort logo, as well as resort renderings, which will be shown for the first time at the ceremony.
Tribal cultural performances will take place during the ceremony, and the Tule River Tribal Council will be in attendance. Elder speeches are also part of the proceedings.
The hotel and resort, once completed, will be located next to the Porterville Fairgrounds, with the casino property already situated off Highway 65.
This expansion is expected to position Eagle Mountain Casino as a key player in tribal gaming growth in California, further enhancing its offerings and infrastructure. The project is a testament to the Tule River Tribe’s long-term commitment to developing Eagle Mountain Casino as a significant economic and entertainment hub in their region.
