Eagerly Anticipated Yearlings by Initial Stud Breeders at Arqana August Yearling Sale

In the world of horse racing, the offspring of a champion are always eagerly awaited. This is particularly true for Baaeed, the top-class performer who won six Group 1 races and earned a reputation as one of the best horses in Europe after Frankel. As of now, Baaeed's first yearlings have entered the sales market, and despite not yet achieving significant racing accomplishments, they are highly anticipated.

One of the most notable sales so far was a filly by Baaeed, sired by him and out of the mare Dubai Rose, which fetched €800,000 at the Arqana sale. This sale highlights the excitement surrounding Baaeed's progeny.

Baaeed's progeny benefit from his exceptional race record and pedigree, generating high expectations for their future performances. Given his own achievements and the quality of his progeny's dam lines, it is likely that his horses will begin to make notable appearances in racing competitions in the coming years. However, as of now, there are no specific racing accomplishments to report for horses sired by Baaeed.

Among the yearlings on offer is a colt by Zoffany's National Stakes winner and Prix Jean Prat runner-up Thunder Moon, available at Haras de Castillon. Another notable yearling is a half-brother to 2025 French Listed winner and Group 3 Prix du Lys Longines runner-up Sunita.

The yearling from Ballylinch Stud, out of the Nathaniel mare Rosea, is particularly interesting. Rosea's progeny include Breeders' Cup Turf victor Yibir and Prix de l'Opera winner Wild Illusion. Another yearling, from Haras d'Etreham, could receive a Group 1 update to its page as soon as next week.

Other notable yearlings include a filly by Torquator Tasso, a winner of the Prix de l'Arc de Triomphe, and a colt who is a half-brother to recent Prix Jean Prat runner-up Maranoa Charlie, one of the favourites for the upgraded City Of York Stakes.

The sales of Baaeed's yearlings mark the beginning of a new chapter in the career of this racing legend. As these young horses begin their own racing journeys, they will undoubtedly be watched with bated breath, as they carry the hopes and expectations of their sire's many fans.
