Dynamo's insider Karpov reveals disagreement: Karpin advocates for Miranchuk acquisition, but Buvach opposes the transfer deal.
Dynamo Moscow's pursuit of midfielder Anton Miranchuk from Swiss club Sion seems to have hit a snag, as the Russian club's main coach, Valery Karpin, advocated for his transfer but faced opposition from sporting director Zeljko Buvac.
Anton Miranchuk, a 29-year-old midfielder, is reportedly ready to return to Russia and join Dynamo. Karpin views him as an ideal candidate for the creative "number 8" position in Dynamo's team, given his impressive stats in the previous season with Lokomotiv, where he scored 8 goals and provided 8 assists in 28 matches.
However, Buvac's principled stance on transfer issues has created a tense atmosphere in the club. His refusal to approve the transfer of Miranchuk has reportedly caused this tension.
Dynamo is currently in need of strengthening its attack due to the departure of Carrrascal and the long-term injury of Chaves. The team's recent match against Krasnodar, played without the injured Bitello, saw poor attacking actions, with only 0.1 xG and no shots on target.
In an attempt to reinforce their attack, Dynamo is actively exploring alternative options, one of which is Allison from Gremio. However, the decision on Miranchuk's transfer to Dynamo remains uncertain.
Recent reports from August 2025 suggest that Miranchuk is no longer moving to Dynamo Moscow, as the interest from Dynamo has ended. Instead, there is a possibility he might transfer to a club in Saudi Arabia. No public details on Buvac opposing Miranchuk’s transfer have been reported recently.
