Dynamo Dresden welcomes back Hartmann
Marco Hartmann Returns to Dynamo as Youth Performance Centre Director
After a two-year absence, Marco Hartmann is set to return to Dynamo Dresden, this time in a new role as the Director of the Youth Performance Centre. The club made the announcement on Tuesday afternoon, following the resignation of Jan Seifert, who had served as the youth leader for nine years.
Hartmann, known for his strong identification with Dynamo, brings a wealth of football experience and pedagogical training to the table, making him a suitable candidate for the position. His successful tenure at Dynamo, spanning over eight years, saw him play 146 games, score 17 goals, and contribute to two promotions and a third division championship.
During his time at the club, Hartmann also held the position of team captain for an unspecified duration. His commitment to the club and his passion for nurturing young talent have not gone unnoticed, with Ralf Becker, Dynamo's sports director, expressing his pleasure with the hiring.
Hartmann's return to Dynamo marks a new chapter in his career. Starting in January 2024, he will support and advise the youth players, preparing them for the challenges ahead. His dedication to the club and his desire to contribute his experience and knowledge to the next generation of Dynamo players are evident.
In the meantime, Hartmann is currently completing his teaching internship at the Dresden Sports School. This experience will undoubtedly prove invaluable in his new role, as he continues to develop the training club and help shape the future of Dynamo Dresden. Hartmann is set to take over as the leader of the Youth Performance Centre on July 1, 2024.
Jan Seifert, the outgoing youth leader, leaves behind a significant legacy at Dynamo. His nine-year tenure saw the development of numerous talented players who have gone on to represent the club at the highest level. The club extends its gratitude to Seifert for his dedication and wishes him all the best in his future endeavours.
As Dynamo Dresden prepares for a new era, the return of Marco Hartmann is a promising sign. His commitment to the club and his passion for nurturing young talent make him the ideal choice to lead the Youth Performance Centre. Fans can look forward to seeing Hartmann back in the Dynamo colours and contributing to the continued success of the club.
