Dynamic Shift in Scouting Personnel at VC Wiesbaden
Marcel Frisch Joins VC Wiesbaden as New Scout for 2025/2026 Season
Marcel Frisch has joined VC Wiesbaden as a scout for the upcoming 1st Volleyball Bundesliga Women's season, moving from his previous role at Allianz MTV Stuttgart. This transition was announced in August 2025, marking a significant "scout switch" in the Bundesliga.
Frisch, who brings over a decade of scouting experience, worked closely with the Stuttgart women’s team during the 2024/2025 season, including competitions like the CEV Volleyball Champions League. His expertise includes deep knowledge of club systems and player performances, gained also from work with other teams such as the Baden Volleys SSC Karlsruhe men and involvement with the German Volleyball Federation, notably in sitting volleyball.
At VC Wiesbaden, Frisch succeeds Daniel Ramírez Santana, who moves in the opposite direction to Allianz MTV Stuttgart. Ramírez had been VC Wiesbaden’s data and analysis expert since 2023 and contributed significantly to the club’s recent successes. VC Wiesbaden’s management views Frisch as a valuable addition who will provide fresh analytical insights and continue strengthening their performance evaluation capabilities.
Daniel Ramírez's final game with VCW will be on 12.12.2025, 18:30, against Allianz MTV Stuttgart in the Wiesbaden sports hall at the Platz der Deutschen Einheit. This highly-anticipated match will mark the end of an era for Ramírez at VCW, as he moves on to join Allianz MTV Stuttgart for the same role.
VC Wiesbaden's head coach, Tigin Yağlioğlu, and Christian Sossenheimer, the co-trainer, are confident that Frisch will be an asset to the team. Frisch will prepare all games before and after, be involved in training, and help with the individual development of the players.
Frisch is convinced by VC Wiesbaden's new strategy, VCW@2030, and wants to contribute to it for the next two years. VC Wiesbaden management is excited to have Frisch on board and looks forward to a successful season ahead.
