FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt have bolstered their attack by signing Dutch offensive player Meghon Valpoort on August 20, 2025. The 25-year-old striker, born on July 31, 2000, brings a wealth of experience and versatility to the Thuringian club.

Valpoort, standing at nearly 1.90 meters tall, is known for his physical strength and robustness in the penalty area. His ability to play on the wings, in addition to being a striker, provides FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt with more flexibility in their formation and allows them to implement different playing systems.

Fabian Gerber, head coach of FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt, described Valpoort as a powerful striker who brings new dimensions to their offense. Gerber, who has been coaching the club since 2021, aims to lead the team to a more successful season in the Regionalliga Nordost.

Valpoort began his career with Indonesian second-division club FC Bekasi City before making a name for himself in Europe. His goal-scoring prowess has been evident throughout his career, as he has proven time and again that he knows where the goal is.

Valpoort signed a two-year contract with FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt until June 30, 2027, and fans are eagerly anticipating his debut for the club. With Valpoort on board, FC Rot-Weiß Erfurt are poised to make a strong push for promotion in the 2025/26 season.
