Gearing up for a historic night, UFC icon Dustin "The Diamond" Poirier is set to face Max Holloway for the BMF title at UFC 318 in New Orleans. In the lead up to the event, Poirier has expressed a strong desire to be escorted by none other than Louisiana native and renowned rapper, Lil Wayne!
In a teaser for Full Violence, Poirier made the announcement:
"It's a done deal. Lil Wayne's manager Mack Maine says he's ready. Of course, we've still got time before the fight, but as things stand, yep, he's in!"
While Poirier has always stepped into the octagon with Lil Wayne tracks playing in the background, this bout is poised to be unique as the musician is set to join him live. UFC 318 is scheduled for July 20th, 2025.
