Dustin Johnson claims co-lead in the Indianapolis tournament
In the heart of Westfield, Indiana, the LIV Golf Indianapolis tournament concluded with a thrilling finish. The individual title was won by Sebastián Muñoz, who emerged victorious in a playoff against Jon Rahm.
Muñoz, a participant at the event, displayed a remarkable performance, securing his first LIV Golf title. Rahm, on the other hand, despite falling short in the playoff, showcased his formidable skills throughout the tournament, earning him the runner-up spot.
The team title was claimed by Torque GC. Their victory came as a testament to their strong team dynamics and strategic play.
In the season-long standings, the leadership was dominated by captains. Jon Rahm, captain of Legion XIII, clinched the top spot, followed closely by Joaquin Niemann, captain of Torque GC, and Bryson DeChambeau, captain of Crushers GC, finishing 1st, 2nd, and 3rd respectively.
Other key figures in the tournament included Phil Mickelson, captain of HyFlyers GC, who ended up in the Lock Zone for the next season, and Bubba Watson, captain of RangeGoats GC, who tied for 8th in the tournament and also found himself in the Lock Zone.
Prior to the tournament, Fireballs GC, Legion XIII, and Torque GC were ranked as the top teams. However, it was Torque GC who ultimately proved their mettle and took home the team title.
