Saturday, May 24, 2025 marks the return of Japan Day in Düsseldorf
The Rhine Embankment Promenade will once again be under the influence of Japanese culture this weekend, offering captivating stage performances, delicious food, and a spectacular fireworks display over the Rhine. The main stage at Burgplatz will be the epicenter of the festivities.

The highlight of the day is the appearance of Japanese J-Rock band ReaL, who will rock the stage with their Anime title songs and are making their first journey outside Japan in 2025. The Pop Culture Stage at Johannes-Rau-Platz offers a plethora of experiences for Cosplay enthusiasts:

Contestants for the Cosplay Contest and Karaoke Competition can register from 11:30 AM. The Super Act starts at 7:30 PM and promises an electrifying performance.

The event offers approximately 90 stalls, Samurai camps, Kyudo archery, and children's activities. New this year are two stalls selling official Japan-Tag merchandise. Pokémon GO will also be present, so don't miss out! The grand Japanese fireworks display over the Rhine will close the evening, presented by renowned pyrotechnician Hideki Kubota.
